The extruded aluminum housing includes pre-drilled keyhole slots spaced every 12 inches for secure attachment to wood, metal, or drywall surfaces.

The standard CSS fixture is not dimmable out of the box. However, we offer an optional 0-10V dimming driver that replaces the standard driver and enables smooth dimming from 100% down to 10% output when paired with a compatible wall dimmer.

You can connect up to 10 CSS LED strip lights in a continuous run on a single circuit, regardless of fixture length. Each unit includes linkable connectors on both ends that snap together without tools.
The total connected length depends on your fixture sizes—ten 2-foot units create a 20-foot run, while ten 4-foot units extend to 40 feet. Always verify that your circuit capacity supports the combined wattage of all linked fixtures before installation.
The lithonia lighting CSS offers 3000K warm white (yellowish tone similar to incandescent bulbs), 3500K neutral white (balanced tone for general tasks), and 4000K cool white (crisp bluish-white for detailed work).
Warm white works well in residential kitchens and hospitality settings where a cozy atmosphere matters. Neutral white suits retail environments and offices. Cool white is ideal for workshops, medical offices, and applications requiring visual accuracy. The field-selectable switch lets you adjust before installation without ordering separate SKUs.
The CSS carries an ETL damp location rating, meaning it handles moisture and humidity but not direct water exposure. You can install it on covered patios, enclosed porches, or other sheltered outdoor areas where rain won't reach the fixture.
For fully exposed outdoor applications, we recommend our wet-location rated fixtures specifically engineered for weather resistance. The CSS housing is not sealed against water ingress and will fail if exposed to rain, snow, or irrigation spray.
The standard CSS LED strip light includes a 6-foot power cord with a standard three-prong plug for immediate use in locations with accessible outlets. This plug-in design is perfect for under-cabinet installations where outlets are nearby.
If you need hardwired installation for code compliance or aesthetics, simply remove the plug and connect the cord's black, white, and green wires to your electrical box using standard wire nuts. Always follow local electrical codes and consult a licensed electrician for permanent installations.
Wipe the CSS lens with a soft, dry microfiber cloth to remove dust and maintain light output. For stubborn smudges, lightly dampen the cloth with water or glass cleaner—never spray liquid directly onto the fixture.
The integrated LED design requires no lamp replacements or ballast maintenance. Check the linkable connectors annually to ensure they remain firmly seated, especially in installations subject to vibration. Vacuum the mounting area behind the fixture during routine cleaning to prevent dust accumulation that could reduce heat dissipation efficiency.
We back every CSS LED strip light with a 5-year limited warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship, including the LED arrays, integrated driver, and aluminum housing. This warranty begins on the date of purchase and covers replacement or repair at our discretion.
